DON KRAMER
Senior Development Manager
Don Kramer re-joined MountainWest Real Estate in 2023. Before this time, from 2001 through 2009, Mr. Kramer worked with MountainWest Real Estate as an independent real estate development consultant responsible for management of the day-to-day operations of the company’s active development and construction projects, including preparation and processing of development entitlements and permits, coordination of the efforts of contractors, design professionals and other project consultants and management of project budgets and schedules. Further duties included direction of the design activities associated with all the company’s development projects while working in an executive capacity guiding and overseeing the company’s interaction with government and administrative agencies in connection with entitlements, project planning and permitting and negotiation and fulfillment of project activities with contractors and consultants.
Returning as Senior Development Manager to the MountainWest Team, Mr. Kramer leads project teams through all aspects of the development process including site selection and acquisition, constraint analysis and due diligence, municipal approvals, design, and construction coordination. He is instrumental in leading new business efforts and facilitating teams through all aspects of the development process. His diverse background in development spans from project conception to disposition with large, complex vertical and horizontal residential, class A commercial, industrial, medical office, multi-family, senior living communities, and mixed-use development projects.
Prior to and in between being part of the MountainWest Real Estate team, Mr. Kramer worked as Senior Project Manager for Gafcon Construction Consultants successfully managing and completing several multi-million educational and buildings for the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District. During his more than 35 years of experience in the Real Estate Development industry, Mr. Kramer has also served in Senior Project Management roles for Sunstone Hotel Group and Shimizu America Corporation developing and building more the 3 million square feet of commercial, industrial, hospitality, multifamily projects, and more than 1000 single family homes. Mr. Kramer holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (emphasis in Finance) from San Diego State University.
